Interior/ExterioR
By Ashley Good
Fall of 2023 was a period of immense change. I wrapped the 5th Foggy Isle Film Festival on September the 23rd, and then less than a week later, my family and I loaded up the rest of our belongings and moved from Vancouver Island all of the way to southern Alberta.
During the three day drive to our new home, I realized one of the big differences between the provinces isn’t the climate or the people, it’s the interiors and exteriors. Victoria is surrounded in natural beauty, it’s rarely cold, and everyone is outdoorsy. Most of the stuff that makes the island special, is outdoors. Calgary has actual winters and more extreme weather, which has lead to it having far more beautiful indoor spaces (a special shout out to the gorgeous Devonian Gardens).
